Shante Brickhouse
Ms. Shanté Brickhouse also known as Coach Brickhouse graduated college with a degree in Juvenile Justice, along with a Directors Certificate. Upon graduation, her love and hunger for children led her to Eagle Academy Public Charter School where she being her career volunteering as an after-school drumming instructor teaching 3-5 year olds. Driven by her dedication to develop and nurture children, she flourished in the ranks. She began as an Administrative Assistant, then Executive Administrative Assistant, the Before & After School Supervisor, Coordinator, and finally overseeing the entire Before & After School Program as Director; two centers and over 600 students.
Coach Brickhouse realized the importance of after school enrichment programs and the positive influence has on inner city youth. After much research and consideration, Coach Brickhouse decided to join the Project GameTime team and birth the first after school program alongside the Executive Director, Rick Wagner at Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School. Later that year, Coach Brickhouse joined the Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School as an Academic Dean. She continues her career at BSNBCS as a Behavior Intervention Specialist and managing the after school program for K-8. Coach Brickhouse has a passion for molding and shaping young minds by providing a rich, robust environment of support, creativity, and care.
