Where are you located?

We are located at 82 Lewis Ave between Hart Street and Willoughby Avenue in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn.

Are there more than one school in the building?

No, there are no other schools located within the BSNBCS building.

What are your schools hours of operation?

Doors open for students at 7:30am and dismissal is at 4pm.

Are there any half days?

BSNBCS has no half days.

Does BSNBCS provide SPED Services?

Yes, BSNBCS offers Special Education services based on the students needs. We have ICT classrooms and SETTS , occupational therapy, counseling, speech therapy and physical therapy. For students needing additional supports, please let us know.

Are students required to wear uniforms?

At this time, All students are required to wear a Hunter Green polo shirt.

Does BSNBCS provide bussing?

Yes, BSNBCS offers bussing to students that are eligible according to the NYC Office of Pupil Transportation.

Do you have an after school program?

Yes, we offer an onsite after school program to all grades K-8 until 6pm.

How many students per class?

The amount of students depends on the social distance guidelines. All classrooms have as many desks that can be socially distanced. This can range from 12-17 per classroom. Pre-covid, is no more than 28 students per class.

Does the school provide free lunch?

Yes, BSNBCS provides free breakfast, lunch and snacks to all students. Students in afterschool also receive snack.

How do parents communicate with teachers and the school?

We have multiple communication platforms in which you can communicate with the school and our teachers. You can call the main office, email the teachers as well as use our communication platforms of ClassDojo and MySchool.

What grades does BSNBCS serve?

We serve Kindergarten through Eighth grade.
