J’Vaughn Dominguez

J’Vaughn Dominguez has been in education for 5 years. He has worked within the Charter school system for each year as a Behavior Specialist. Dominguez was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, where he still currently resides. Dominguez is a graduate of Binghamton University class of 2010. He has acquired a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a double minor in Africana studies and Latin American/Caribbean studies. He has dedicated his life’s work to giving back.

Prior to being introduced to education Dominguez worked at Covenant House as an Outreach worker/Case Manager for 5 years. Through working with homeless youth and youth in crisis, his passion only grew; to want to intervene for the positive advancement of our black, brown, and Latinx kids. What better way to have positive intervention than through education/ school? He believes “All kids/scholars develop many of their social cognition.” Education will always be the key to open doors, and Dominguez wants every scholar at BSNBCS to have a set (of keys). Dominguez’s current role in BSNBCS is Behavior/Intervention Specialist and is a part of the Student Support Team (SST Team). He looks forward to serving our scholars with kindness and respect, while still holding scholars to a high bar. Parents and Scholars meet Mr. Dominguez!
