Brooklyn Bodega Partnership: Building Literacy, One Book at a Time

We’re proud to highlight our incredible partnership with Brooklyn Bodega, which has played a vital role in supporting our scholars’ academic and social growth. Through this collaboration, scholars have been able to build their own home libraries, fostering a love for reading beyond the classroom. With access to over 5,000 books annually through the partnership, students have demonstrated tremendous progress in literacy, confidence, and engagement. English Language Learners have especially benefited from bilingual books, ensuring they receive the support they need both at home and in school. Additionally, families have the opportunity to visit the Book Hub for weekend events, further enriching scholars’ learning experiences and fostering even more academic growth. This initiative has truly made a lasting impact on our scholars’ educational journeys and their futures.
