BSNBCS Gives a BIG thank you to Bloomberg Philanthropies

Thanks to Bloomberg Philanthropies, Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School was able to provide summer programming to over 200 students for July into August. These students were provided small group instruction for math and reading as well as a wide variety of enrichment activities. The activities included, field trips all over the city, art, dance, music, chess and more. Thanks to this financial support, we were able to provide a large part of our student population with the necessary support to be prepared to begin a new academic year without the infamous summer slide, that is only guaranteed to compound in light of the disrupted learning the pandemic caused.
