Almirrah Tiller
Ms. Almirrah Tiller is a product of the garden state, Jersey. She started her career of teaching as a teenager by working as an assistant in an afterschool program for the public housing development where she lived. Teaching has been and is her passion. Ms. Tiller has attended colleges in New York as well as New Jersey, attaining degrees in the fields of Urban Education, Special Education, African American Studies and English. This ELA teacher is passionate about teaching and the impact that is has on our young leaders. Ms. Tiller looks forward to seeing the amazing work the scholars of BSNBCS will produce. Lastly, one of her favorite quotes comes from Aristotle, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” This quote speaks to her pedagogical philosophy, which is to teach with heart and empathy.
