As per Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order, BSNBCS closed on March 16th 2020 and expects to re-open when NYC DOE schools re-open. Our teachers are working diligently to keep all students engaged in their learning from their homes and to support families in this new setting.
As of Monday March 23rd 2020, School Food distribution will be limited to a little more than 400 sites across the city. Children will be able to pick up breakfast and lunch between the hours of 7:30 and 1:30, Monday through Fridays, from any site. If you are a first responder and need child care while you work, the city has created several Regional Enrichment Centers which will be open from 7:30-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Eligible families must enroll by completing this form.
BSNBCS Continuity Plan
To ensure the continued acquisition of academic skills and concepts by all students, BSNBCS has created a continuity plan. This plan includes details on how students, teachers, and support staff will work together during school closure, as well as plans for our eventual return to learning at 82 Lewis Avenue.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
