Latoya Deas is committed and enthusiastic to work with diverse populations to help them transition for their social and academic success. It was my exposure in higher learning that contributed to my interest wanting to become a teacher and empower children and youth through educational development. Nevertheless, I value the importance of people well-being and to distinguish ways to administer services. I’ve decided to enhance my learnings, experience, and skill sets by obtaining an Associate in Science for Office Administration, Bachelor in Arts for Health Education, and will soon earn a Master in Education for Special Education. In addition, I have had the opportunity approximately for three years to tutor diverse populations, engage children through educational intervention as a Teacher Assistant for two years and now serving children through learning enrichment at New Beginnings Charter School as a RTI Intervention Specialist. My passion is to interact with children and youth to help them appreciate education as well as be involved in their community. I aim to encourage and guide them to know that education is the key to progress and success. Nonetheless, I enjoy seeing them displaying the various aspects of mathematics, writing, language and science in the classroom.
