James Arnwine has been an educator in New York City for the past 14 years. Originally, he is from Northeast Ohio where he attended public schools. James came to New York to study Fine Arts at the nearby campus of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He was a scholarship recipient of their National Talent Search. He has had the opportunity to work with pupils in all subjects and at all grade levels in Harlem, Bronx, and presently in Brooklyn. He became focused on acquiring his Masters degree and has been certified in both general and special education since 2013, after graduating from The College of New Rochelle. He has acquired a greater focus in working with students with disabilities and differentiating instruction. He embraces collaboration with colleagues and has always valued giving back to the community. He is a strong advocate for Arts in schools and is very optimistic to be back in Brooklyn as well as the future success of the scholars at BSNBCS.
