Danie Nielsen has been an educator in New York City for the past 4 years. Born and raised in Northern California, Danie moved to New York City in 2009 after graduating with her undergraduate degree in Communications and Sociology. After working for various non-profit organizations, AIDS Walk, Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School, Danie decided to go back to school and get her masters in Childhood Education. Since graduating with her masters in 2009, she has worked at the Stephen Gaynor School in Manhattan teaching middle school students with language learning disabilities. As a 5 year Bedford Stuyvesant resident, she is incredibly thrilled and proud to finally be living AND working in the community she loves and is thankful for the opportunity to teach at BSNBCS.
