Amanda Daley has loved working with children since she was a student herself in upstate New York. She began working in New York State Public Schools as a teaching assistant in elementary classrooms as part of her community service. She worked closely with K-3 students, coaching, teaching and building relationships with them all before graduating high school. She then went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Rhetoric at Binghamton University, and was soon inspired to pursue her New York State Teaching Certification. She received her Master’s in Childhood Education at Hunter College. While at Hunter she found purpose in teaching in an urban setting and began at BSNBCS. Since starting at BSNBCS she has earned her Professional Certification as a New York State Educator. She believes in giving all students the opportunity to learn and inspiring them to be curious about the world they live in. This is her fifth year as a 2nd grade Teacher at BSNBCS and 3rd year as the Lead Teacher for the 2nd grade team.
